ARGUS To Record Cover Of TROUBLE Classic
December 7, 2007ARGUS, the Pennsylvania-based metal band featuring former PENANCE vocalist Brian "Butch" Balich, has issued the following update:
"In late January 2008, the Miskatonic Foundation will release a vinyl-only 10" release entitled 'Sleeping Dogs'. This EP will include four of the five songs from our spring 2007 demo, remixed and remastered for vinyl: 'Sleeping Dogs', 'Bending Time', 'The Damnation of John Faustus' and 'Beyond (Part I – Eternity)'. The EP will be available in standard and diehard editions (which will include a patch and poster). 'Sleeping Dogs' will be exclusive to this release.
"Anyone who knows the Miskatonic Foundation knows the releases are top notch and that Rich Walker is as dedicated to quality metal as you will ever find. We are honored to work with him on this release. Artwork will be done by John Gallo (of ORODRUIN and Bill Cosby Pudding Pop fame).
"We would also like to announce that we have agreed to work with Chile's Emissary Records for our debut full-length CD (untitled at this time). Our current plans are to re-record several of the demo tracks along with new material. Currently the songs to be included are: 'Bending Time', 'The Damnation of John Faustus', 'Beyond (Part I – Eternity)', 'Beyond (Part II – Oblivion)', 'The Effigy Is Real', 'From Darkness Light', 'Forsaken…March 24, 1844'. Other material is being written at this time.
"Emissary is a tremendous new label and we are psyched to be a part of their growing roster of releases.
"Last, but not least, we also will be recording a version of TROUBLE's classic 'Pray For The Dead' for an upcoming 2008 doom compilation from the mighty Leafhound Records of Japan. 'Doom or Be Doomed' should be available in late spring 2008."
